Chris, Gusta and Maurits are three elderly people who live together and lead a happy, but monotonous life. When they go to the supermarket on their regular day, they crash into a refugee. Totally panicked, they bring him to their home, where gradually a unique friendship develops between the four residents. All have experienced war and this strengthens their bond. Happy Together is a comedy about friendship and differences that seem bigger than they truly are.
Happy Together was written by Marie De Hert and Mohanad Mukhtar, a well-known actor, writer and playwright from Iraq. He fled to Belgium in 2008.
